Out today is the National 2011 Toyota AFL Grand Final Record. The 244-page magazine features a full review of the season and a club-by-club breakdown.
Stories include past premiership heroes from yesteryear: Hawthorn's Peter Knights, North Melbourne's Wayne Schimmelbusch, Essendon's Jack Jones, Melbourne's Noel McMahen, Collingwood's Ron Richards and Geelong's Bill McMaster.
It is also 10 years since the Brisbane Lions won their first of three successive premierships and the Record talks to key Lions from that game including coach Leigh Matthews, Alastair Lynch and Jason Akermanis.
There’s a profile of champion goalkicker Dick Lee and an interview with Collingwood rover Ronnie Wearmouth, who opens up about the pain of playing in multiple losing Grand Final teams. Wearmouth, 61 years old, details his nomadic post-football life and how the game has shaped his life.
